You get this Phantom Edge from the story. It gives you reach and a ranged option from the first chapter.

3Dread Axe
A heavy Phantom Edge from Peng Meng, The Axemaster, also in Weeping Creek Valley.

Early-game tips
- Upgrade one main weapon rather than spreading materials. The Reforging Talisman refunds them later if you switch.
- Hua is optional and hard. If she walls you, come back after a few upgrades; nothing locks you out.
- Rest at bells often. They refill your healing and act as fast-travel points.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I get the Scarlet Wraithblade?+
Beat Hua, Deadly Betrothed. She's a secret boss at the bottom of the first Sha-Chi tower in Weeping Creek Valley. See the Hua boss guide.
Should I use a shield-breaker early?+
Yes, as your second main weapon. Light blades bounce off shields, and fists or hammers break them.
